Man Utd ‘very close’ to long-awaited transfer that will DELIGHT Ruben Amorim

Manchester United are close to completing a transfer worth €25 million that could unlock the transfer window for Ruben Amorim.
Jadon Sancho has been a problem for the Red Devils for much of the last two seasons, first falling out with Erik ten Hag then struggling to recapture any kind of form at Chelsea, where he spent last term on loan.
The winger was so poor at Stamford Bridge that the Blues elected to pay €5m to Man Utd to take him back rather than sign him for an estimated €25m.
But the Red Devils are finally set to get their money for the former Borussia Dortmund star.
Football transfer news expert Marco Giordano has confirmed that a deal for Sancho is imminent.
“The player is very close to accepting the contract offer made by Juventus sporting director Damien Comolli,” he reports on X.
“Manchester United have confirmed their approval of the €25m offered. The deal can be closed next week when Comolli returns to Europe.”
TuttoJuve reports that Sancho will earn €5.5m plus bonuses with the Turin giants, marking a huge decrease on his reported Man Utd wages of €15m per year.

Why Sancho sale matters to Man Utd
While Man Utd’s finances have allowed them to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolves and should allow them to add Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford, the Red Devils have numerous more areas that Amorim wishes to strengthen.
A €25m injection to the club coffers should help this significantly but what is arguably most important is that Sancho’s large wages will be off the books.
Sancho earns €15m per year at Man Utd, per Capology, with the Red Devils even paying the majority of his salary when he was at Chelsea last year.
With this sum freed up to potentially add new players to Amorim’s ranks, he can start to explore the possibility of strengthening other areas, with a central midfielder and a centre forward likely to be on the agenda as Man Utd seek to regain some of their former strength.
