Verratti reveals what he will do if Messi joins Neymar at PSG
Marco Verratti is excited by the prospect of Lionel Messi joining Neymar at Paris Saint-Germain next season.
Barcelona superstar Messi could leave the Blaugrana at the end of the campaign after his relationship with the club completely broke down last summer.
His contract at Camp Nou expires in June and there are no signs that he will sign a new deal any time soon.
It is a move that would lead to Messi being reunited with his former Barcelona teammate and good friend Neymar.
And PSG midfielder Verratti is exhilarated by the prospect of two of the best players of the past decade linking up again in attack.
“Of course, I would like to play with Messi,” Verratti told Canal+.
“To have him in the squad would be something magnificent, one more thing that football would give to me.
“I would give the ball to Neymar and Messi and stay behind to just [enjoy] watching them a bit.”
Messi and Neymar played together for four years at Barcelona between 2013 and 2017.
Together, they scored a whopping 299 goals and won eight trophies.
This included two La Liga crowns and the 2015 Champions League – which came during a historic treble-winning season.
