A Boehly BARGAIN! Brilliant Badiashile's value has rocketed
Benoit Badiashile’s electric form has increased his value to the extent that he’s now worth more than what Chelsea paid for him in January.
The Blues paid Monaco €38 million for the defender during the January window - but his form with the side has seen his ETV shoot up to €47.4m.
Todd Boehly, often criticised for being gung-ho in the market, pulled off a steal with the youngster, bringing him to Stamford Bridge before seeing his valuation rise.

During the same period, it is reported that Liverpool tried to pip Chelsea to his signing. Football London report that the Reds tried to bring Badiashile from Monaco during the last window, while Barcelona were also in the race.
As it was, the centre-back was persuaded by the ‘long-term project’ on offer at Chelsea and signed up to play for the west London side.
It is thought that the Frenchman was impressed by the efforts that the Blues made in trying to get him to sign for the club.
Chelsea earn Leeds win
The 21-year-old enjoyed a Premier League win over Leeds on Saturday, with Graham Potter’s club earning a much-needed victory.
Chelsea earned all three points at Stamford Bridge with Wesley Fofana’s second-half goal being the difference.
“When we got the goal, it was a pleasing moment for us all and in the second half, it was a little us having something to lose,” Potter said to reporters after the Premier League contest. “That is where you would expect us to be given the run we’ve had.
“Talk is cheap. I firmly believe in the players and the team but I also acknowledge that the results haven’t been good enough and that is my responsibility. So any criticism is absolutely fair and warranted. We have to take it, try to improve, and win. That is the job.”
