The English midfielder is one of the best holding players in the Premier League and has attracted interest from the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City in recent times.

Rice has become a full England international in recent times, having starred in their Euro 2020 campaign and is set to continue that at the World Cup this winter.

Now, he’s spoken about Manchester United before his side’s clash against them in the league, perhaps even dropping a transfer hint for the future.

Rice hints at Man Utd move

The 23-year-old was speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the match and his comments about Old Trafford raised eyebrows, suggesting a possible transfer in the future.

"It's inspiring for sure - it's Old Trafford," Rice told Sky Sports, as he took a look around Old Trafford. “You think of the heritage, the big games that have been here, the top players that've played here.

“You want to come here as a player and stamp your mark and stamp your authority - one to get a win, and two to play well yourself."

Rice has been heavily linked to Chelsea, but other clubs haven’t been ruled out of the race, and they will have to fork out a big sum if they are to land the West Ham midfielder.

He was at Chelsea’s academy until the age of 14 but was released, after which he joined West Ham, for whom he has played 179 Premier League matches to date.

Earlier this year, it was said that certain clubs may have to pay a fee as high as €100 million if they wanted to sign Rice, and that is likely to still ring true as he remains consistent.
