Long-term Man Utd target hailed as 'amazing' by World Cup winner
Brighton's World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister spoke in glowing terms about Manchester United target Evan Ferguson.
The Argentine hailed his Seagulls teammate as an 'amazing player' after the 18-year-old scored his fourth goal of the season. The Irish striker has been one of the breakout stars of this term as Brighton continue their unlikely charge for Champions League football.
Intelligent and physical, the precocious Irish youngster has previously been described as a 'freak' due to his outstanding form this season. He has only featured in 11 Premier League games thus far, but in those fixtures, he has racked up a very impressive four goals and two assists.

Consequently, his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) has skyrocketed, currently peaking at €13.8 million. Unsurprisingly, then, Europe's elite has been put on high alert and several Premier League giants are lurking, including Manchester United who are said to be looking to fix their striker woes in the summer.

What did Mac Allister say?
Speaking to the media after Brighton's crucial 2-0 away win over relegation battlers Bournemouth, which kept their hopes of getting into the Champions League alive, Mac Allister said: "Evan is an amazing player. He was not having his best evening, but he showed his quality. We are really happy for him, we know how important he is."
Brighton are massively punching above their weight this term, and they currently find themselves in sixth, just four points behind Newcastle United in third. In fact, Ferguson's suitors from Old Trafford are just one spot above the Seagulls in the table! Perhaps going from Brighton to United wouldn't be such a big step up after all.

Indeed, "the club," Mac Allister concluded, "is improving in every aspect, we have an FA Cup semi-final [on April 23 vs against Manchester United] and an important game on Saturday. We go game by game."
