Leroy Sane to Liverpool: How much will Man City earn if Bayern star returns to the Premier League?

Liverpool want to sign Bayern Munich star Leroy Sane if Mohamed Salah joins the Saudi Pro League in 2024.
The Germany international has shone for Bayern so far this season and has six goals in seven Bundesliga appearances in 2023-24.
Liverpool’s interest in Sane as a possible Salah replacement was first exclusively reported by FootballTransfers back in August, while The Mirror have now relayed that information.

Jurgen Klopp is a huge admirer of the 27-year-old and is willing to spend big to bring Sane back to the Premier League.
In August, sources told us that Juventus’ Federico Chiesa was also of interest to Klopp and Liverpool, but Sane appears to have overtaken the Italian in the Reds’ transfer wish-list.
The Mirror have reported that Liverpool are willing to make Sane their most expensive signing in history, meaning the Reds are prepared to pay more than the €80 million spent on Darwin Nunez in 2022.

Sane to Liverpool?
Sane has plenty of Premier League experience under his belt having made 90 appearances in the competition for Man City, scoring 25 goals and providing 32 assists.
The German also won two English top flight league titles during his time with Pep Guardiola’s side, who sold him to Bayern for €49m in 2020.
Furthermore, City also included a 10% sell-on clause when they offloaded Sane, meaning they will earn a fraction of the German’s transfer fee if he leaves Bayern for Liverpool.
With Liverpool willing to spend over €80m on the 27-year-old, Man City could earn a sweet €8m if Sane does end up joining Liverpool.
Sane’s peak value came back in January 2019, with his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) as high as €77.1m back then. It has since fallen to €44.9m, courtesy of the fact he is almost into the final 18 months of his current Bayern contract.
