Luis Suarez set for MLS move - and a huge salary
Former Barcelona star Luis Suarez looks set to move to Major League Soccer.
Suarez, now 35, scored 195 goals and laid on 113 assists in 283 games with Barcelona between 2014 and 2020, many of them as part of the fabled 'MSN' front three which also included Lionel Messi and Neymar.
A La Liga title winner with Atletico Madrid as recently as 2021, Suarez has been turning out for his first club, Nacional, since July, in a bid to keep fit ahead of Uruguay's participation at the winter World Cup in Qatar.

But he will become a free agent in January, and his agent has reportedly been in discussions with LA Galaxy.
"The Galaxy have been in constant communication with Luis Suarez's agent, who held a meeting with the people in charge at Dignity Health Sports Park during the summer," report AS.
"The league's most decorated team will most likely part ways with Douglas Costa at the end of the current campaign and they could offer the Uruguay international a designated player spot in 2023."
Inter-ested?
Inter Miami, part-owned by David Beckham, are also reportedly interested in signing Suarez, who has scored four goals in nine games, assisting three more, in his second spell at Nacional. The player himself admits a move to MLS would be appealing.
"I don't know yet, it's one of the options that I see as being most likely," he said recently. "But I'm not thinking about that right now. I'm thinking about and enjoying myself at Nacional.
"I've had my career in Europe and I left very proud. I had a lot of options, a lot of them, before coming to Nacional, but it made sense to come back. Groningen, Ajax, Liverpool, Barcelona, Atletico... what would be a better career in Europe than that? It was perfect."
Costa is on $3 million a year at the Galaxy, with Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez their highest-paid player on $6m. Suarez would doubtless expect to match that at the Dignity Health Sports Park.
