Moises Caicedo tells fans: I want to leave Brighton
Chelsea could end negotiations to sign Moises Caicedo admitted to guests at Brighton’s 2022-23 seasonal awards ceremony that he wants to leave the club.
That is according to respected Brighton journalist Charlie Haffenden, who adds that Caicedo refused to talk about Chelsea when asked about a transfer to the Blues.
Caicedo was voted as the Brighton Fans' Player of the Season, as well as the Players' Player of the Season.

He said: "Thank you, fans. Without your support, it wouldn't be possible. I do this for my family; they are my inspiration.”
But Haffenden reports that Caicedo also admitted to guests that he wants to leave Brighton this summer, without mentioning Chelsea.

Chelsea have had two bids rejected by Brighton for Caicedo, and recently had an €82 million offer turned down.

It is widely reported that Brighton are demanding €116m (£100m) for Caicedo, as they value him at a similar price to the record transfer fee Arsenal paid for West Ham’s Declan Rice.
Caicedo is desperate to join the Blues but given the huge gap between Chelsea’s offer and Brighton’s request, there have been reports Chelsea could move on to other targets.
The 21-year-old has developed into one of the best central midfielders in the Premier League over the past 18 months and helped Brighton qualify for Europe for the first time.
