Man Utd or Liverpool: Where next for Ryan Gravenberch
Ryan Gravenberch has had a troubled time at Bayern Munich since signing for them in the summer transfer window from Ajax.
Gravenberch has had a reduced role in the first team which has proven to be a source of frustration for the Dutchman, and also led to him missing out on the Netherlands squad for the World Cup.
Bayern Munich have made it clear they will not let the player leave the club in the January transfer window even if it’s on a temporary deal.

So, after a difficult spell with the German champions so far, what are the options he has as he looks to reinvigorate his career?
Gravenberch is clearly a talented player and the limited game time is hampering his progress as he is still young and has a bright future ahead of him.
Premier League move could help Gravenberch
Two Premier League clubs would make great sense for Gravenberch given he is looking for game time and the right tactical fit for his talents.
Manchester United would be the obvious choice, given his good relationship with manager Erik ten Hag when the pair were together at Ajax.

It was Ten Hag that gave Gravenberch his senior Ajax debut at the age of 16 and gradually ensured his progression and permanence in the first eleven at Ajax.
Gravenberch is an excellent progressor of the ball, and adding him to a Manchester United squad that is thin on numbers in that area would ensure he gets game time and can play under a manager that understands his style well.
The other option would be Liverpool, where Jurgen Klopp’s side are also in need of midfield reinforcements and Gravenberch would be a great low-cost option.
Liverpool want to sign Jude Bellingham, but given their poor league form, they may not be able to offer him Champions League football, which could be a stumbling block in the deal.

Gravenberch could be an alternative for the Englishman, and Liverpool could work out a way to get him in and they would be getting a fine player that would be suitable to their style.
For now, Bayern Munich is where Gravenberch will spend the season but if things don’t change, he may have to look at the possibility of a move abroad.
