Aubameyang makes ‘INCREDIBLE’ Barcelona revelation

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang might only have spent six months with Barcelona, but according to the Gabon international forward, they were the most enjoyable of his career.
Now 34 years old and playing with Marseille in Ligue 1, Aubameyang has played for some of Europe’s greatest clubs, including AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea.
He says, though, that the standout period in his career came during his time at Camp Nou.

“I think I had the best six months of my career there,” he revealed. “I have never enjoyed playing football and going to training so much. I even went to training on off days. That tells you everything. It was incredible.”
Aubameyang’s enjoyment of his time at Barcelona, meanwhile, was reflected in his on-field performance as he scored 11 goals in just 18 LaLiga matches.
He had made clear of his desire to sign for the Catalan side, meanwhile, after falling out with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta. He subsequently flew to Barcelona without the Gunners’ knowledge on Deadline Day of the January 2022 window to force through a move.

What happened to Aubameyang at Barca?
Although he was a success in Spain, his stay was short-lived. Barcelona’s financial problems ultimately forced them to sell the player the following summer to Chelsea, who paid €12 million to sign him on a two-year deal.
His return to London, though, was considerably less happy as he was ultimately surplus to requirements under Graham Potter and was infamously frozen out of the Blues’ Champions League squad for the second half of the season.
Aubameyang is currently experience another tough spell at Marseille, where his performances have been criticised after a slow start to the season that has seen him net only once in Ligue 1 this term.
