'Mourinho doesn't give a s**t about football,' Real Madrid and Chelsea warned

Roma head coach Jose Mourinho has been linked with a shock return to Real Madrid and Chelsea in the summer – but both clubs have been warned that he “doesn’t give a s**t about football”.

Chelsea find themselves effectively managerless, with interim manager Frank Lampard a mere sticking plaster until the end of the season, at which point they need a new full-time solution.

Real Madrid, too, are liable to be hunting a new boss. Carlo Ancelotti’s place at the Bernabeu is under threat after a poor league season and the Italian apparently piquing the interest of the Brazil national team.

Antonio Cassano, who was a No.10 for Los Blancos in the 2006/07 season, has warned both his former club and Chelsea what a circus Mourinho brings. Indeed, he has dismissed the prospect of the Portuguese having a second spell at the Bernabeu as pure rumour.

“He can return to Real Madrid if Ancelotti does not continue, but if Los Blancos want a coach, they will not call Mourinho for their new project. Mou doesn’t give a s**t about football. He doesn’t like to work, he doesn’t know how to communicate or speak, let’s not be fooled by his story,” he told BoboTV.

The Mourinho has achieved success at every club he has been at – with the notable exception of Tottenham – is puzzling to Cassano.

“I don’t know how he achieves those results, because it’s just cinema. He was a great coach, but right now he can train Real Madrid, as he can also train San Martines,” he claimed.

Mourinho has enjoyed a period of career rejuvenation with Roma, who he has led to fourth in the Serie A standings with a Europa League quarter-final against Feyenoord looming next week.
