Real Madrid want Mourinho back as Ancelotti to Brazil confirmed
Jose Mourinho could make a shock return to Real Madrid after it was confirmed that Carlo Ancelotti will take charge of the Brazil national team.
Ancelotti, who has one year left on his contract with the Bernabeu side, has long been linked with the Brazil post and on Wednesday it was confirmed that he will take on that job next summer.
In the meantime, Brazil have given the role to Diniz on a one-year basis.

Brazilian FA president Ednaldo Rodrigues was asked if Ancelotti will be in charge at the Copa America next summer and replied: “He will be, he will be. You can be sure of that. Ancelotti has already said when he can he.”
Ancelotti’s departure from Los Blancos will create a void at one of the biggest clubs in the world that needs to be filled.

A lengthy list of former players are being considered for the role, including Raul, Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa, but the first choice of president Florentino Perez is for Mourinho to return to the club more than a decade after his previous spell ended.
“If Florentino has what he wants, it will be Mourinho,” El Chiringuito revealed on Thursday.
Mourinho to make Madrid return?
Mourinho cut a divisive figure in Madrid during his previous spell at the Bernabeu, which marked the peak of the club’s rivalry with Barcelona. Heated battles between the two clubs were commonplace at that time, with Mourinho notoriously involved in an eye-gouge incident with the late Tito Vilanova, who was Pep Guardiola’s assistant at the time.
In his three seasons with Real Madrid, Mourinho oversaw 178 games with a win percentage of 71.91 – the best figure in his career.
He has since spent time at Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham and is presently head coach of Roma.
