10 players who could join PSG in January
Paris Saint-Germain go into the January transfer window eager to strengthen their squad as they attempt to lock down yet another Ligue 1 title but also chase the holy grail of the Champions League.
The Parisian outfit may no longer be interested in ‘bling-bling’ signings, but that does not mean they will not spend big if the opportunity presents itself.
While tying down Lionel Messi to a contract extension is a priority ahead of next month, here are 10 players who the Parc des Princes side are following.

Goncalo Ramos – Benfica
PSG came close to landing Ramos in the summer before he was a known quantity. They are still following his progress but Benfica have said that the forward will not leave for anything less than his €120 million release clause, probably putting him out of reach for now.
Marcus Thuram – Borussia Monchengladbach
PSG are among many sides interested in Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram, with the 25-year-old out of contract in the summer and in prolific form this season. Thuram's 10 goals in 15 games this season put him among the top scorers in Europe and he could be available for a cut-price deal to strengthen PSG's front line further.
Kouadio Kone - Bourussia Monchengladbach
The Gladbach French core has proven effective this season, with Kouadio Kone establishing himself as one of the most sought-after youngsters in Europe. The 21-year-old has attracted the interest of the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle due to his pace and power in midfield and he could be available for around €50m.

Evan N'Dicka - Frankfurt
Another Frenchman out of contract soon is Evan N'Dicka and the Frankfurt defender has already been scouted by PSG ahead of a summer move. However, the option to beat rivals to the punch by making a winter approach on a cheap deal could be a shrewd move for the Parisians.
Milan Skriniar – Inter
Over the course of the summer, PSG sought to sign the Inter centre-back only to be rebuffed. Skriniar’s future has still not been resolved, and it may be that Christophe Galtier’s side revisit the case in a bid to shore up their defence. It looks an unlikely deal at this stage.
Rafa Marin – Real Madrid
Real Madrid have not called up 20-year-old defender Rafa Marin to their first team yet, but he has been performing well for Castilla and Marca reports PSG have had their interest piqued. Out of contract in the summer, they may well wait before making their move.
Kim Min-Jae – Napoli
Close to moving to Rennes last summer, the South Korea international could yet find himself in Ligue 1 this season if he leaves Napoli, who he joined earlier this year from Fenerbahce, for PSG. He has a release clause reportedly set at €45m but competition for him is set to be fierce.
Sofyan Amrabat – Fiorentina
The midfielder has starred at World Cup 2022 with Morocco, piquing the interest of some leading clubs, most notably Liverpool. The player’s brother has pleaded with PSG to come in with an offer, but whether they do remains to be seen.
N’Golo Kante – Chelsea
Out of contract at the end of the season, Kante is a player that PSG have long admired. It would be a strange move if they were to swoop for the France international in January, particularly since he has been injured for much of the season. Nevertheless, the links are there.
Ousmane Dembele - Barcelona
Ousmane Dembele was linked with a move to PSG before extending his deal with Barcelona in the summer but the winger could still return to Ligue 1 due to his side's financial issues. While he has insisted he is happy at Barca, his new deal only runs until 2024, meaning PSG could still make an approach in the near future.
