The five Arsenal players who could leave in January
Arsenal are sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League table and have shown no signs of faltering as they aim to end their 18-year Premier League title drought and qualify for the Champions league for the first time since 2017.
The likes of Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka and Benjamin White have been key contributors to the Gunners' success under Mikel Arteta this season, with the side blowing teams away at times.
They are on course to knock Manchester City off their perch and bring the English top flight title back to London for the first time since Antonio Conte won it with Chelsea in 2016/17.
However, some of their current squad may not be part of that success and could leave the club in the January transfer window as they are surplus to requirements.

So, which players could leave Mikel Arteta’s side in the winter?
Cedric Soares
Cedric Soares has been out of favour at Arsenal for quite some time and his time at the Emirates Stadium may finally be coming to an end.
The Portuguese right-back has been linked with a move to Fulham recently, who are in need of a new right-back, and that may be concluded in January.
Although he was used fairly regularly last season due to Takehiro Tomiyasu's injury problems, the addition of William Saliba into the team has allowed White to move across to right-back, which has seen Cedric fall even further down the pecking order.

Mohamed Elneny
Mohamed Elneny has become a back-up option at Arsenal due to their recent success and a January move for him could be on the cards.
Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka seemed to have built a good partnership in Arteta’s midfield and getting a chance for Elneny is proving to be difficult.
Aston Villa have been linked.
Marquinhos
Marquinhos only joined Arsenal in the summer transfer window and has had some impressive moments for the Gunners.
However, in order for him to get more game time, he will have to look away and a loan move could be on the cards for him in the January transfer window.
Reiss Nelson
Reiss Nelson is out of contract in the summer and Arsenal will want to get some money out of him, with January being their last chance to do so.
They won't want to lose him on a free if at all possible and despite the fact he doesn’t play as much, the Gunners may be able to extract a decent fee.

Karl Hein
Estonian goalkeeper Karl Hein is emerging in the Arsenal ranks but is well down the pecking order still, making it important for him to build experience.
A loan move away could benefit him as he looks to get better in the coming months and challenge for a first-team place at the Emirates.
