Mason Mount to Man Utd risks COLLAPSING
Mason Mount’s summer transfer to Manchester United risks falling through due to Chelsea’s excessive asking price.
That is according to the Guardian, who report that Chelsea are demanding at least €70 million for the English midfielder.
Man Utd, though, are not prepared to pay an excessive amount for Mount considering his contract expires in 12 months.

Chelsea see €70m as his market value, particularly as new manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to keep Mount.
Mount has already agreed personal terms with Man Utd, so only a transfer fee is required to be agreed to complete a transfer.
Liverpool were also interested but Mount made it clear he preferred a move to Man Utd.
Mount to leave Chelsea
Mount’s contract at Chelsea expires at the end of next season and talks over a renewal have made no headway for over a year.
It now seems increasingly likely that Mount will leave Chelsea this summer.
It is widely understood that Chelsea will sell Mount before the end of the transfer window if a new contract isn’t signed, to avoid losing him on a free transfer in 2024.
Mount has been a key player for Chelsea in recent seasons but, like most of his teammates, endured a miserable 2022-23 campaign.
He has managed just three goals and four assists in all competitions as Chelsea have performed woefully.
The Blues finished 12th in the Premier League and performed badly in the cup competitions. This is despite spending a world record amount of money on new players under American owner Todd Boehly..
They also went through three managers last campaign, ending with interim coach Frank Lampard after the sackings of Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter.
