Liverpool tipped to dump 14 players in mass summer cull
A mass clear-out could be on the cards at Anfield this summer, with Liverpool potentially set to offload as many as 14 players.
It’s set to be a pivotal transfer window for the Reds, who will be determined to suitably strengthen their squad for a strong 2023/24 campaign – having badly underperformed this season.
And such a revamp will inevitably involve a high turnover of players – meaning some big names could be about to leave the 2019/20 Premier League champions.

Roberto Firmino was the first of Liverpool’s title-winning stars to confirm his departure this summer – the Brazilian will move on when his contract expires – and James Milner is set to follow him out the exit door as a free agent, with the veteran midfielder said to have agreed a deal with Brighton.
Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are also out of contract – and, with neither having seen much action this term, one would expect their Reds spells to come to an end too.
Joel Matip, meanwhile, has seen his role reduced, and Liverpool may look to sell the centre-back as he heads towards the final 12 months of his contract.

A recent arrival on his way already?
There have also been rumours about the future of Kostas Tsimikas and Fabio Carvalho – the latter of whom only joined the Reds last summer but has barely featured, prompting speculation of a loan move.
On the subject of loanees, Arthur – who injury has restricted to one appearance since arriving from Juventus back in September – will be returning to his parent club.
Elsewhere, back-up goalkeeper Adrian seems likely to depart as his contract runs out – while fringe players Nat Phillips, Rhys Williams, Conor Bradley, Leighton Clarkson and Tyler Morton could all be sold.
