Man Utd put FIVE players up for sale as Ten Hag gets 'ruthless'
Erik ten Hag has urged Manchester United to get more 'ruthless' in the transfer market as five players are put up for sale.
The Dutchman has been a breath of fresh air at Old Trafford since arriving at the start of the season. Helping to put the sides' "banter era" firmly behind them, Ten Hag is making United a smarter club both on and off the pitch.
His revolution is set to enter its next phase in the summer with the clearing out of some of the dead weight that has accumulated in recent years. Indeed, five players have officially been put up for sale, according to the Manchester Evening News, while more could still follow in the near future.

The Red Devils' demolition suffered at the hands of Newcastle United showed that though they have been much-improved this season, they still are in a transition period, and more reinforcements need to arrive before they can get back to truly challenging for the Premier League.

Five players to be axed
The five players that are reportedly getting forced out of Old Trafford by the new 'ruthless' Manchester United are Harry Maguire, Anthony Martial, Brandon Williams and loaned-out players Eric Bailly at Marseille and Alex Telles at Sevilla.
Bailly may not return to United in the summer as there is a purchase option in his loan that will be automatically triggered if he features in 50 per cent of Marseille's matches or if they qualify for the Champions League.
Telles, on the other hand, will definitely be back, with Sevilla already announcing that they have no intention of making his deal permanent. United will have to find a different buyer for him.
Maguire has long since been linked with a move away from Manchester after losing his starting berth to Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane. His time at an elite club could be coming to an end with a return to Leicester recently being floated in the media.

Brandon Williams impressed at times on loan at Norwich last season, but he has failed to show the kind of potential that could make him an asset to a side that wants to challenge for the Premier League. As for Martial, his persistent fitness issues have ruined any chance of him consistently featuring under Ten Hag.
