Jadon Sancho wants Dortmund return ‘sooner rather than later’
Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho is desperate to return to Borussia Dortmund and is eager that a loan move with the Bundesliga side is completed “sooner rather than later”.
Suddeutsche Zeitung claims that the England international attacker wants to re-join the club where he enjoyed his best spell of form in his career to date.
Indeed, much more was expected of Sancho at Man Utd, and though he netted the opener in the 2-2 draw against Tottenham on Thursday in the Premier League, there remains a sense that manager Erik ten Hag does not trust the 23-year-old.

Across all competitions this season, Sancho has scored only six goals and created two more, while he sat out an extended period of action following the World Cup as Ten Hag tried to get him up to what he considered to be match fitness.
All this, of course, is a far cry from the Sancho of Borussia Dortmund. In his final season at BVB, Sancho scored 16 goals and generated 20 assists in 38 appearances.
This was the catalyst for an €85 million move in the summer of 2021, with United actually buying him below his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €98m.
His value since then, however, has gone on the slide to reflect his on-field struggles at Old Trafford. He is now given an ETV of €57.5m.

Ten Hag on Sancho
Ten Hag, meanwhile, is, publicly at least, still backing the young attacker to come good. When asked in March if Sancho can be decisive in every match, the former Ajax boss said: “I think he can, I think he can make the difference when we play three against two in the midfield. And that is not bad when you have Casemiro and Bruno and you have Jadon Sancho.”
Sancho’s future, nevertheless, remains uncertain, with Marcus Rashford and Antony the preferred wide options for Ten Hag. A move back to Dortmund on loan might not be the worst thing to allow the Man Utd forward to rediscover his best form.
