Sevilla have announced that they have extended the contract of coach Julen Lopetegui until June 2024.

Lopetegui’s initial contract was set to run until the end of next season but he has been rewarded for his fine work with a new deal.

The 54-year-old took over Sevilla at the start of the 2018-19 campaign and immediately led the club to Europa League glory in a memorable run that included wins over Manchester United in the semis and then Inter in the final.
