Ndombele responds to Mbappe’s transfer plea
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is open to a future move to Paris Saint-Germain after being told to join the club by Kylian Mbappe.
Ndombele endured a tough start to his career in north London after arriving from Lyon in 2019 but is enjoying an outstanding 2020/21 season.
And now he has been hailed by his France teammate Mbappe for his recent wonder-goal against Sheffield United.
“Nice goal recently! You know that I would prefer you to score in a different shirt than the one you currently wear!,” Mbappe told TF1.
Ndombele responded to the praise by stressing that he was now happy at Spurs but he admitted that he could be interested in a PSG move in the future.
“Things are going well at Tottenham, but why not later down the line,” the 24-year-old replied.
“My first season was tough, I questioned myself a lot, now the page is turned.
“It is true that at a certain moment I wanted to leave, I didn’t feel in the right place. I told them I wanted out. But they didn’t want me to go.”
Tottenham are next in action on Sunday when they travel to Brighton in the evening kick-off.
