Sevilla join Arsenal and Real Sociedad in Odegaard chase

Sevilla have become the latest club to enter the race for Real Madrid forward Martin Odegaard.

The Norwegian looks set for a January loan departure from the Santiago Bernabeu after growing frustrated over a lack of opportunities.

Real Sociedad, who Odegaard enjoyed a successful 2019-20 campaign with, are in the running for a mid-season move.

Arsenal are also credited with an interest in a player they attempted to sign ahead of Real Madrid in 2014.

But those two clubs now have additional competition in the form of Sevilla, according to cuatro.

    Julen Lopetegui’s men currently sit fifth in La Liga, level on points with Villarreal in the final Champions League qualification spot with a game in hand.

    Sevilla will hope to boost their top-four chances with the signing of a player who scored 7 goals in 36 appearances at Anoeta last term but has made just nine appearances this season following his return to Madrid.
