Van de Beek tops Man Utd list for players with the biggest loss percentage
Donny van de Beek has endured a miserable time since joining Manchester United from Ajax in a big-money summer move.
It was expected that the Dutchman would arrive in England and provide Man Utd with an extra offensive spark, but he has failed to break into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans.

Indeed, Van de Beek, who joined the Red Devils for £35.1 million, has managed only two Premier League starts all season and just 12 in all competitions. In total, he has played only 1,117 minutes of football for his new side.
His statistics do not make for great reading either. In these games, he has contributed just one goal and one assist.
NAME | GAMES | LOSS % |
---|---|---|
Donny van de Beek | 13 | 30.8 |
Axel Tuanzebe | 16 | 25 |
Anthony Martial | 167 | 23.4 |
Fred | 69 | 23.2 |
Juan Mata | 187 | 23 |
However, perhaps his most alarming Premier League statistic is his loss percentage. He has the largest figure of any player in the Man Utd squad.
In the 13 Premier League matches Van de Beek has played, he has suffered four defeats – 30.8%.
That is a significantly higher figure than any other player in the squad. It is Axel Tuanzebe who comes next in this regard, with four losses in 16 games.
Of the club’s regulars, it is striker Anthony Martial who posts the greatest figure, with 23.4% of his 167 games ending in a loss.
Which Man Utd player has the best win percentage?
At the other end of the spectrum, meanwhile, Van de Beek also appears on the positive list, posting eight wins from 13 games, suggesting that the sample size is still much too small to draw any definitive conclusion as to his influence upon the team.
NAME | GAMES | WIN % |

Eric Bailly | 62 | 40 |
Nemanja Matic | 100 | 62 |
Donny van de Beek | 13 | 61.5 |
Bruno Fernandes | 43 | 58.1 |
Phil Jones | 165 | 55.8 |
Man Utd’s most successful player is Eric Bailly, who has won 64.5% of the 62 games he has played, while fans’ favourite Bruno Fernandes comes in fourth, having won 58.1% of the Premier League matches in which he has participated.
