Arsenal and Milan chase Bertrand after Southampton contract rejection
Southampton defender Ryan Bertrand is wanted by AC Milan and Arsenal after rejecting a contract offer from the club, per Goal.
Bertrand, 31, will be free to leave St Mary’s in the summer when his current team expires. The England defender can talk to clubs abroad already, and the Rossoneri are believed to be monitoring his situation.

The Saints boss, Ralph Hasenhuttl, says that the club are beginning to look elsewhere at other possible options after Bertrand’s decision. He has been at the club since he left Chelsea in 2015.
“We are looking at other targets because the offer we have made has not been accepted from his side,” Hasenhuttl said ahead of his side’s 2-0 defeat at Liverpool at the weekend.
“When there is no solution for the future, we will have to look at other options in this position.”
Could Danny Ings join Bertrand in departing Southampton?
Interest in Bertrand, and the growing likelihood that he will leave the club next month, will be a blow to Southampton. It has long been said that Danny Ings would be the biggest player to depart this summer.
Tottenham and Manchester City have both been linked with moves for the former Liverpool striker in the past.
The 28-year-old’s deal expires next summer, and seeing how things have played out with Bertrand, they could decide to cash in on him as soon as possible.
