Cavani on fire as Solskjaer makes transfer admission
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has again admitted that he hopes Edinson Cavani stays at Man Utd after the veteran striker scored yet again against Aston Villa.
Man United recovered from falling 1-0 behind to win 3-1 at Villa Park, thus delaying Manchester City’s Premier League title party by another couple of days at least.
Cavani came off the substitutes bench to scored Man Utd’s third, darting in front of his man to head home from Marcus Rashford’s cross.

The 34-year-old has been in sensational form of late and has now scored eight goals in his last seven matches, and five in his last three.
This has led Man Utd to increase their efforts to get Cavani to sign a new contract at Old Trafford, with his current one-year deal expiring next month.
“We’re getting to learn Edinson. Hopefully, we can use him more next season,” Solskjaer said after the match on Sunday.

Solskjaer was echoing his thoughts from Thursday when he confessed he was desperate for the Uruguayan to stay.
“We’ve had some good chats lately and even though the decision is still in his court, I’m still hopeful,” he said ahead of the Europa League semi-final second leg at the Stadio Olimpico against Roma.
“And maybe even more so when you saw him on Thursday against Rome, and telling him: ‘when you do that in front of the Stretford End, that’s magic.’”
Solskjaer is not the only Man United personality to plead with Cavani to remain at the club.
Former defender Rio Ferdinand tweeted after the match: “Mr Edinson Cavani, please stay. Thank you.”
In total, Cavani has scored 15 goals from just 18 starts for Man United this season.
