When does the January transfer window close?
The January transfer window isn't usually as exciting as its summer counterpart, but January 2022 is proving to be something of an exception.
Following a crazy summer in 2021 that saw Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo both move clubs - as well as massive-money deals involving the likes of Jack Grealish, Romelu Lukaku, Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho - this window has already seen some astronomical moves of its own.
The biggest so far has been Juventus signing Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina that could reach as high as €80 million. This was the most expensive January deal in Serie A history.
Barcelona also splashed out €55m - plus €10m in add-ons - for Manchester City star Ferran Torres.
This was the biggest sale in Man City's history and Barca's joint-eighth biggest signing.
FOOTBALLTRANSFERS' MOST VALUABLE PLAYERS IN THE WORLD
There is, of course, the situation with Newcastle, and who the Magpies will sign now that they are flush with cash. They have already spent big on the likes of Kieran Trippier, Chris Wood and Bruno Guimaraes from Lyon.
Tottenham boss Antonio Conte has been promised £150m reportedly to get his team in the top four, while Aston Villa have made a statement signing with the acquisition of Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona on loan.
Barcelona recently told Ousmane Dembele to leave the club after he refused to sign a new contract, so he will be up for grabs in January.
Meanwhile, a whole batch of players who are out of contract in June 2022 will be able to formally open negotiations with other clubs.
We are now into the final day before the transfer window closes - and many big deals involving Dembele, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Dejan Kulusevski are expected.
But when did the 2022 January transfer market open in Europe's big five leagues and when will it shut its doors?
