Reus begs Haaland to reject Madrid and Man City
Borussia Dortmund legend Marco Reus has begged teammate Erling Haaland to reject the interest of Real Madrid and Manchester City in order to stay at the club.
Haaland is arguably the hottest young property in Europe after an incredible two years at Borussia Dortmund.
Dortmund resisted all interest in Haaland last summer but it is widely expected that the attacker will move on at the end of the 2021-22 campaign when a release clause believed to be around €75 million will be activated in his contract.
Virtually every top club in Europe is interested in signing the 21-year-old, including Manchester United, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, PSG and Chelsea.
THE EUROPEAN GOLDEN SHOE STANDINGS
However, it is Real Madrid and Manchester City who are understood to be the favourites to sign the 21-year-old.
Haaland’s Dortmund teammate Reus has pleaded with the Norwegian striker to reject Europe’s superclubs and stay at BVB.
“Stay with us, here you have everything you need to develop yourself,” Reus told Bild.
“Here he can play the Champions League, score goals, feel valued to the maximum.

"He ultimately has to decide what feels best for him. It would be a shame if he left, but even then things would go on and we would find solutions again as a collective."
Haaland has scored 80 goals in 79 games since joining Dortmund from RB Salzburg in January 2020.
He has already scored 149 club goals in 190 games in his career so far, while he has hit the back of the net 12 times in 15 games for the Norway national team.
As for Reus, he is now in his tenth year as a Dortmund player and will go down in history as one of the club’s greatest players.
