Conor McGregor: I wish to explore buying Chelsea

UFC star Conor McGregor wants to ''explore'' the possibility of buying Champions League holders Chelsea.
The Blues' current owner Roman Abramovich has announced that he will be selling the club, paving the way for potential buyers to stake their claim.
The Russian billionaire has been the west London club's most successful owner, but has come under pressure as a result of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

He is now looking to sell the club to someone that will continue on from his legacy of accumulating silverware.
And former UFC champion McGregor tweeted: ''I wish to explore this, Chelsea'' in response to an image of a WhatsApp message which read: ''Chelsea for sale, £3bn. Let's buy it.''
The Irishman, who is worth around £135million, has previously shown an interest in owning Manchester United - the club he supports: ''Hey guys, I’m thinking about buying Manchester United! What do you think?''
McGregor's competition
Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss is looking to buy the west London club, alongside LA Dodgers part-owner Todd Boehly.
''Abramovich is trying to sell all his villas in England, he also wants to get rid of Chelsea quickly,'' Wyss told Swiss newspaper Blick.
''I and three other people received an offer on Tuesday to buy Chelsea from Abramovich.
''I have to wait four to five days now. Abramovich is currently asking far too much.

''You know, Chelsea owe him £2 billion. But Chelsea has no money. As of today, we don’t know the exact selling price.''
However, Abramovich has since stated that he is not looking to recoup the club's £2 billion debt to himself.
This would appear to make negotiations of the sale much easier, with the asking price expected to be lower than first thought.
