Recently, FootballTransfers exclusively revealed that Barcelona were battling it out with Chelsea to sign Leeds winger Raphinha.

Gianluigi Longari explained how Raphinha has two clauses in his contract for buying clubs.

He currently has a minimum fee release clause of €75 million, which means that Leeds cannot stop any club who bids that amount.

However, if Leeds are relegated to the Championship, his release clause fee will drop to €25m.

Over the last fortnight, it has now widely been reported that Barcelona are in advanced talks for the wideman.

Ronaldinho is very much in favour of his former team signing his countryman and even named him as one of the four players he most enjoys watching.

What did Ronaldinho say?

“We are from the same city and the same neighbourhood. I am a good friend of his father, I have known him since I was a child. Raphinha is very talented,” Ronaldinho told Mundo Deportivo.

“Raphinha has everything to succeed in any team. You can’t compare him with Neymar, though. Raphinha and Neymar have different styles.

“Which players do I like watching? I like to watch Messi play, it’s worth it. I like to watch when Neymar and Mbappé are playing. I also love to watch Raphinha play.”

Ronaldinho also commented at his shock that Lionel Messi left Barcelona last summer.

The Argentina superstar departed on a Bosman Transfer for PSG, where he has largely been underwhelming.

“It was a surprise. I had never imagined seeing him with another team. For me the most important thing is that he has to be happy, no matter where,” Ronaldinho said.
