Cristiano Ronaldo scored the 60th hattrick of his incredible career on Saturday to inspire Man Utd to a crucial 3-2 win over Norwich.
Ronaldo’s treble means that he has now scored 30 hattricks since turning 30, with the other 30 coming before the age of 30.

But who has more hattricks out of Ronaldo and his eternal rival Lionel Messi?
Well, Ronaldo is slightly in the lead currently as he has scored 60 career hattricks for club and country compared to Messi’s 55.
The duo have been neck-and-neck for much of their career but Ronaldo has started to pull away in recent years.

In the last three seasons, including this one, Ronaldo has scored four hattricks to Messi’s one.

Ronaldo scored 44 hattricks for Real Madrid, 10 for Portugal, three for Juventus and three for Man Utd.
More of Ronaldo’s hattricks, according to michelecosta.com, have included penalties. From Messi’s 55 hattricks, 14 of them included at least one penalty. From Ronaldo’s 60 hattricks, 31 included one penalty or more.
Messi’s best season for hattricks was 2011/12 when he scored an incredible 12 trebles. That season he famously scored 73 goals in 60 games for Barcelona in what was the most productive of his career.
Ronaldo’s best season for hattricks was 2014/15 when he scored nine trebles. He scored 61 goals in 54 games in total that term in what was also the best season of his career.
Expect both of these legends to score a few more hattricks before their legendary careers are over.
