The Portuguese winger exploded during the 2021-22 season, playing a pivotal role in Milan winning their first Serie A title for 11 years.

Leao contributed 11 Serie A goals and nine assists, and 25 goal contributions in all competitions.

He was particularly crucial to the team in the closing weeks of the season as he scored three goals and delivered six assists in Milan’s last six games – all of which they won.

Milan needed just a draw from their final game of the season at Sassuolo to clinch the title on Sunday but won easily 3-0. Leao assisted all three goals for Olivier Giroud (2) and Franck Kessie.

His explosive pace and devastating dribbling has led to a host of Europe’s biggest clubs considering moves for him.

According to the Italian media, including Nicolo Schira, Man City, Liverpool and PSG all are interested in signing Leao.

Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp are both said to be huge fans of the attacker, while PSG’s new sporting director Luis Campos worked with Leao when they were together at Lille.

In Spain, meanwhile, the media claims that Real Madrid are considering moving for Leao after missing out on Kylian Mbappe.

What is Rafa Leao's release fee?

However, any teams wanting to sign Leao will have to pay his full €150m release clause.

Milan have no intention of selling him and are discussing a new contract. The Portuguese star is asking for €7m per year to extend his deal which expires in 2024.
