Chelsea are in talks to sign Raheem Sterling and are edging closer to finalising a deal for the Manchester City winger.
A number of reliable transfer sources in Europe and across England confirm that Chelsea are in negotiations for Sterling.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, talks are at a reasonably advanced stage and Chelsea are confident of completing a transfer.
Man City are expected to accept a transfer fee of around €40 million due to Sterling’s contract situation.
Sterling’s contract at Man City expires in the summer of 2023 and the Englishman has no desire currently to extend his deal.

Man City therefore know that unless they sell Sterling this summer, they risk losing the Euro 2020 star for nothing in one year’s time.
Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel is a big fan of Sterling and has personally requested his signature.
The Blues have also been heavily linked with a move for Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele as they attempt to revolutionise their attack.
Sterling is keen on the move as he would like to return to London, where he grew up.
The 27-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Man City over the last year under Pep Guardiola.
He is no longer guaranteed a starting place and his opportunities will only further decrease following the signing of Erling Haaland for €60m from Dortmund.
Sterling joined Man City from Liverpool in 2015 and has enjoyed seven successful seasons at the Etihad.
He has scored 131 goals in 339 games and won four Premier League titles.
He was also one of the best players at Euro 2020 as England finished runners-up.
