Icardi and the THIRTEEN PSG players up for sale
There are positive feelings around Paris Saint-Germain this season with new manager Christophe Galtier and Sporting Advisor Luis Campos making a strong start.
They’ve signed players such as Vitinha and Renato Sanches, while a deal is in place for Fabian Ruiz, significantly improving their midfield – an area that was previously lacking.
Now, though, they are going to spend the window getting rid of players that are going to have limited roles over the course of the season and aren’t in plans.
Campos has made a long list of players that are going to be let go, with many of them already having suitors, as PSG hope to trim their squad before the end of the transfer window.
PSG planning big squad reduction
The 13-man list includes some who have been a key part of the PSG first-team, and many of them are already close to moving to new clubs.
The most important player from that list is Leandro Paredes, who is close to a move to Juventus, as the Bianconeri look to improve their own midfield options ahead of the Serie A season.
Mauro Icardi is another set for a move to Italy, as he is close to joining newly-promoted Monza, having been in talks with them for a while.
Keylor Navas is also close to making a move to Serie A, as Napoli are looking for a new number one, with Gianluigi Donnarumma set to be established as PSG’s permanent first-choice.
Idrissa Gueye has been in talks for a return to Everton for a while, and that deal looks close, while Thilo Kehrer has to choose between West Ham United and Sevilla for his next destination.
Others such as Arnaud Kalimuendo and Abdou Diallo also have suitors across England, Italy and Spain, and moves for them should be easy to complete.
There are also a few players who are on the transfer market but don’t currently have any suitors, however, PSG wish to let go of them in the coming weeks.
That includes midfielders Ander Herrera, Julian Draxler and Rafinha, both of whom have been part of the first-team in recent seasons but will no longer be required.
Additionally, Laywvin Kurzawa, who has rarely played in recent times, is also on that list, and he’s joined by players like Timothée Pembélé and Junior Dina Ebimbe.
PSG have been busy in this window, and it doesn’t look like they’re going to stop soon, with a huge number of sales planned for the remaining three weeks of the window.
