Liverpool want breakout Bundesliga midfielder
Liverpool are among a handful of Premier League sides looking at Mainz midfielder Anton Stach.
Publication 90min reports that the Reds are admirers of the player, along with fellow English sides Newcastle, Tottenham and West Ham.
They say that all clubs have looked at Stach this year, with scouts watching his games in the Bundesliga.

Each club has their own need for a central midfielder: Spurs were recently dealt a huge blow after Rodrigo Bentancur suffered an ACL injury, while the Reds are looking to bolster their midfield for the next campaign.
Newcastle are looking for another central midfielder, with them yet to win a game when Bruno Guimaraes hasn’t featured.
West Ham may need to find a successor to Declan Rice, who is wanted by the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City, says the report.
Stach earns admirers
Stach is a German international who has been capped twice by his nation - though he was not part of Hansi Flick's final squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The 24-year-old is a versatile footballer and has been one of the standout performers for Mainz this season.
FootballTransfers values Stach around €6.4M – €10.7m, while his contract with the German outfit is until 2024.
It means that Mainz would need to either tie him down to a fresh deal or risk losing him on a free transfer next year.
Liverpool are looking to rebuild following a poor season. Though their attack seems to be ticking along nicely, with Mohamed Salah, Cody Gakpo, and Darwin Nunez now clicking well, issues still remain in the midfield and in defence.
Jurgen Klopp has spoken openly about the need for change ahead of the summer.
The club’s priority target remains Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund, but they face competition from Man City, Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Manchester United.
