How many red cards has Casemiro had in his career?
Casemiro has enjoyed an illustrious career - but the Brazil international is no stranger to picking up red cards.
The Manchester United midfielder was bought to Old Trafford for his dogged style, with an ambition to inject some vigour into the side - but sometimes that edge has gone against him.
The Brazilian is no stranger to a yellow card and he also has a habit of picking up frequent red cards too.
Casemiro received his first red card for Real Madrid in 2019. Indeed, having lasted 188 games without a dismissal since arriving at the Santiago Bernabeu in 2013, the star was shown the red against Real Valladolid, as Los Blancos beat the side 4-1 on the night.

In April 2021, Casemiro was also given his marching orders against Barcelona. In injury time, following two yellow cards, the Brazilian was sent off though Real Madrid once again managed to pick up all three points with a 2-1 win.
How many times has Casemiro been sent off at Man Utd?
Since joining Man Utd, Casemiro has been sent off three times.
In February 2023, Casemiro was seen 'strangling' Will Hughes during a feisty encounter against Crystal Palace and he was shown a straight red card.
The end-of-game brawl saw both clubs subsequently fined £55,000 for their parts in the scuffle.
The incident came about in the 67th minute of the game when Man Utd were 2-0 up, and despite being reduced to ten-men, the Red Devils managed to see off the win.
Just one month later, against Southampton in March, Casemiro was given another straight red card for a tackle on Carlos Alcaraz. The referee initially handed out a yellow card, but the official was quickly advised to check the pitchside monitor.
And after a second look at the offence, the referee overturned his decision to leave Man Utd to ten-men.
Casemiro left the field in tears and he was given a four-game ban for the offence, leaving Man Utd short ahead of their run-in for the close of the season.
The Brazilian was shown his first red card of the 2023-24 season during Man Utd's 3-2 loss against Galatasaray in October 2023. Casemiro picked up his first yellow card in the 34th minute, before receiving a second yellow card in the 77th minute after fouling Dries Mertens in the penalty area.
Many fans believe Casemiro should've been sent off for a second time in 2023-24 after a foul on Ross Barkley versus Luton Town in February 2024. The Brazilian was on a yellow card after a previous challenge in the match, but avoided further punishment, to the anger of Luton fans.
Casemiro has been sent off five times in his career, twice for Real Madrid and three times for Man Utd.
