‘Mount only worth half’ - Liverpool rage as Chelsea star price revealed
Liverpool have been told that they must pay £70million for Mason Mount - but the amount has some fans fuming.
Mount’s contract is up in 2024 but Chelsea are still demanding a huge sum for the England international who’s so far not signed a fresh deal with the club.
The Blues are expecting a mass exodus in the summer transfer window as they contend with Financial Fair Play restraints. But the big spenders are still looking to sell their players over their value.
FootballTransfers has Mount’s value at around £64m, but his current club are asking for this amount and much more.
This has left supporters online enraged over the fee that the west London club are demanding for the England international.
£70m for Mount? He’s hardly worth half of that!

SEVENTY MILLION? I‘ve seen enough, bid as much as you can for Bellingham and secure another gem or two, the likes of Enzo Le Fée or Manuel Ugarte I‘d love to see in red

Mount's Chelsea future in doubt
Mount is on a wage significantly below £100,000-per-week and so far has not agreed terms with his boyhood club. Everything points to the player departing Stamford Bridge in the summer - but Chelsea may struggle to land a player whose situation has become so public.
Other clubs thought to be monitoring Mount include Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Newcastle, and Tottenham.
There of course is still the chance that Mount signs a fresh deal, but that looks unlikely with how things are at the moment.
