Ronaldo reunion? Mourinho offered €100m Al-Nassr deal
Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr side are in the process of looking for a new head coach following the reported sacking of Rudi Garcia.
Garcia has lost his job, it is claimed in Spain, following a breakdown of his relationship with the club’s dressing room as well as disappointing on-field results.
And Al-Nassr are reportedly ready to spare no expense in their hunt for a successor to the former Roma boss.

Indeed, they are ready to turn to Jose Mourinho, who is presently in charge of the Serie A team, by offering the legendary Portuguese a bumper contract offer to see him team up once more with his compatriot.
According to AS, Al-Nassr have offered Mourinho a two-year contract worth €100m to take charge of the club and become the highest-paid coach in the world.
It is added, however, that the deal will be complicated. Mourinho is under contract with Roma until 2024 and intends to finish the season with the Serie A side.

This complicates matters for Al-Nassr, who want a coach in place to take charge of the club in the final weeks of the season as it aims to win the Saudi Pro League.
Mourinho has already been linked with a potential move to Saudi Arabia, with Corriere dello Sport reporting previously that he was offered the pick of the jobs between Al-Nassr, Al-Ahli and the Saudi national team post, which was ultimately filled by Herve Renard.
Does Cristiano Ronaldo like Jose Mourinho?
Mourinho and Ronaldo know each other from working together at Real Madrid. It was not necessarily a rosy relationship, though.
Speaking in 2014 to TVI, Mourinho revealed: “The relationship does not exist. He plays for Real Madrid and I’m at Chelsea. We do not often pass each other on the street. The relationship doesn’t exist, it’s just a memory. I remember the good and the not so good. I remember that he is a goal machine, he helped me to become a champion, to win the cup and the Super Cup.
“He probably also helped him and each of us to make history in winning the league with 100 points against the best Barcelona side in history. Cristiano Ronaldo gives me great memories and I wish him all the best in his career, for his country and for his club, because when I go to a club I go with a sense of belonging and wish my former players continued success.”
Things seemed to have thawed between the pair since then, with Ronaldo stating: “Work with Mourinho again? Why not?”
He may now get that chance.
