'Get him off the f***ing pitch' - Man Utd fans rage at new signing
Manchester United fans were raging online over the display of Wout Weghorst against Newcastle.
At St James’ Park, the Red Devils looked less than their best selves, with the Magpies controlling the proceedings and finding themselves a goal in the second half with Joe Willock heading home from Allan Saint-Maximin's cross.
But attention soon turned to Weghorst for his lack of input in front of goal for the Red Devils, failing to hold up the ball and feed in the rest of the attackers.

The striker arrived on loan from Burnley in the winter window and he’s struggled to find his feet, for the most part, playing for the northwest club.
Fans raged online about their January loanee.

Having the same feeling seeing Weghorst play as I used to have with Maguire 😭

I can’t watch Weghorst anymore

I don’t get Weghorst playing for his pressing but Fred on the bench for McStatic. We aren’t even pressing nor counter pressing.

Martial offered more in 5 minutes than Weghorst has all season

Ten Hag touches on Newcastle's playstyle
It comes after manager Erik ten Hag raised concerns about Eddie Howe’s use of stretching the game as far as possible. “Concern,’ said the former Ajax boss. “We know they delay, yeah. It's something that is what the referees don't want, they want to have tempo in the game. That is the aim of the Premier League to have tempo in the game. So they (referees) also have to be consistent to let the game go. Do and act what the policy is.’
“Like we did in the two previous games, it's about us,’ he added. ‘As every game, we want to dictate, to control the game, but we play against a good opponent, we're aware of that. They've had a great season with their manager, the way of play. It's a team that is really hard to beat. We are looking forward to the challenge and the evidence is we can beat them.”
