Mourinho MOCKS World Cup star over failed drugs test
Jose Mourinho was at his mischievous best on Sunday afternoon during and after Roma’s 1-0 win over Monza.
The Giallorossi claimed a crucial victory at the Stadio Olimpico thanks to a 90th minute winner from Stephan El Shaarawy.
Mourinho celebrated the goal by mocking the Monza bench and their coach Raffaele Palladino, with whom he has been involved in a dispute with in recent months.

Palladino had branded Mourinho’s behaviour “scandalous” when the teams last played in May.
Never one to forget being slighted, Mourinho performed two gestures towards the Monza bench after El Shaarawy’s winner; simulating that Palladino talks too much and cries.
Mourinho was sent off for these gestures, continuing an abysmal disciplinary record in the Italian capital.

And after the game, Mourinho also mocked Monza star Papu Gomez after the Argentine had been banned for two years for failing a drugs test while at previous club Sevilla.
Gomez was found with traces of Terbutaline in his system back in October 2022 and has just received a two-year ban from the game.
What did Gomez and Mourinho say?
Last week Gomez had said in an interview of Sevilla’s Europa League final victory over Mourinho’s Roma at the end of last season: “Mourinho? I only have one memory of him and that is winning the Europa League with Sevilla against him.”
Mourinho got his cold revenge after Sunday’s game by saying of Gomez: “I’ve a cough, but I won't take any syrup or any pills. Or else I might have trouble passing the anti-doping tests.”
Mourinho was referring to Gomez’s claims that he had ingested the banned substance by taking a cough syrup that he had given to his son for a cough.
The O.G Mourinho from his days at Porto, Chelsea and Real Madrid was certainly back on Sunday!
