Jan Age Fjortoft has begged Jadon Sancho to apologise to Erik ten Hag in order to save his Manchester United career.

Sancho has not played for Man Utd for over two months after a big falling out with manager Ten Hag, leading to the Englishman being completely exiled from the first-team.

Former Norway and Premier League striker Fjortoft believes Sancho can return to the fold if he just says sorry to Ten Hag.

What did Fjortoft say about Sancho?

“Jadon Sancho, please! This is Manchester United, you can play for Manchester United. Go in there and apologise,” Fjortoft said on ESPNFC.

“It’s just a word (sorry]. Just say it and get into the team and produce some football.”

Sancho has been completely frozen out of the squad at Man Utd for several weeks now.

It came after Ten Hag criticised Sancho publicly for his poor performances in training, which was followed by the winger essentially calling his manager a liar on social media.

Sancho has not been called up since the incident and has been barred from training with the first team, as well as using their facilities and canteen.

Sancho has also been deleted from the team’s WhatsApp group by Ten Hag.

He now looks all but certain to leave Manchester United in January.

A return to Borussia Dortmund has been touted, while some Serie A and Saudi clubs are also reportedly interested, Juventus especially.

Sancho joined Man Utd from Dortmund for €85 million in the summer of 2021 but has been a complete disaster at Old Trafford.

He has scored just 12 goals in 82 appearances and has regularly been a bench player during his two and a half years at the club.

He has also lost his place in the England national team squad and he knows he must move in January if he is to have a chance of going to Euro 2024 next summer.
