Ten Hag falls out with ANOTHER Man Utd player
Erik ten Hag has had a public bust-up with yet another Manchester United player.
The latest United player to have a bust-up with the Man Utd manager is Anthony Martial during the 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United on Saturday.
Ten Hag and Martial exchanged verbal volleys just before half time after the Dutch manager had earlier blasted Martial for failing to track Fabian Schar in the lead-up to a Miguel Almiron chance.
Martial was subsequently substituted in the second half for Rasmus Hojlund as United lost 1-0 in the Premier League.
It was a flashpoint that has again raised questions over whether Ten Hag retains the respect of his dressing room.
Ten Hag has fallen out with a number of first-team players this season, and currently has exiled Jadon Sancho with reports of fallouts with Casemiro and Raphael Varane.
Previously he had a bust-up with Cristiano Ronaldo last season, which ended in the Portuguese superstar rescinding his contract at the club before the 2022 World Cup.
Ten Hag’s position at Man Utd is very much under scrutiny after the club had their worst start to a season in over 30 years.
United have no chance of challenging for the Premier League and face a battle to even finish in the top four.
They are also struggling to qualify for the Champions League knockouts as they sit bottom of their group behind Bayern Munich, Copenhagen and Galatasaray.
They can only qualify in matchday six if they beat Bayern at home, and Copenhagen and Galatasaray’s game finishes in a draw.
If there is a winner in the game between Copenhagen and Galatasaray in Denmark, then Man Utd will be out.
Ten Hag joined Man Utd in the summer of 2022 but after a promising first season in which he won the League Cup and reached the final of the FA Cup, things have really fallen apart this term.
