‘Mr 0 goals and 0 assists’ - Premier League goalkeeper HUMILIATES Antony

There is a Premier League goalkeeper who now has more goal contributions this season than Manchester United flop Antony.

Brentford goalkeeper Mark Flekken provided the assist for Neal Maupay’s goal during their side’s 3-1 defeat to Man City on Monday.

Flekken’s goal kick put Maupay clean through and the attacker slipped the ball past Man City goalkeeper Ederson to give Brentford the lead.

Incredibly, with one assist and no goals in the Premier League this season, Flekken has more goal contributions than Antony.

In 19 Premier League games for Man Utd in 2023-24, Antony has not managed a single goal or assist.

Indeed, Antony has not scored a goal for Manchester United since April 16, 2023 as the Brazilian winger’s scoreless streak goes from bad to worse.

The last time the flop found the net for Man Utd was in a 2-0 Premier League victory away at Nottingham Forest on April 16, 2023.

Since then he has failed to find the back of the net in almost 10 months of action.

Antony’s last Premier League assist

Antony has not got an assist for Man Utd since May 13, 2023 when he created a goal in the 2-0 home win against Wolves.

Since then he has failed to assist a goal in the remainder of 2023.

At the time of writing on December 17 2023, Antony has gone almost nine months without an assist.

He did manage a goal and assist in the FA Cup win against Newport last month, his only goal contributions in all competitions this season.

Antony joined from Ajax in the summer of 2022 for €100 million and big things were expected of Erik ten Hag’s former pupil.

However, Antony has been an unmitigated disaster at Old Trafford. He bagged just four Premier League goals in his inaugural season and looked well short of the physical, mental and even technical levels required to play for such a big team.

Despite this, Ten Hag persisted with Antony in the starting XI in 2023-24 but things have gone from bad to worse for the Brazilian.

It is widely reported that Man Utd will look to sign a replacement for Antony in 2024.
