Jack Grealish and five stars who don't deserve to go to Euro 2024
Euro 2024 is now just over two months away from the big kick-off on June 14.
And that means that time is running out for players to prove to their national team managers that they deserve to be named in their country’s squad.
Below we look at five big-name stars that are in line to go to the Euros who don’t really deserve to.

Conor Gallagher (England)
Conor Gallagher looks likely to be selected by England manager Gareth Southgate.
However, his performance in the 1-0 home defeat by Brazil last month proved that he is not up to the level required.
It is somewhat of a scandal that Ruben Loftus-Cheek continues to be overlooked despite a brilliant season at Milan.

Dayot Upamecano (France)
Dayot Upamecano had endured an error-filled season at Bayern Munich.
He has been guilty of numerous mistakes leading to goals and penalties as well as receiving costly red cards.
The clumsy defender still, somehow, starts for France but he shouldn’t even be in the squad considering the depth Didier Deschamps has in the position.
Christian Eriksen (Denmark)
Christian Eriksen will go to Euro 2024 with Denmark, that there is no doubt.
But there are many in Denmark who feel that, having played just 885 minutes of Premier League football this season, he shouldn’t even be in the squad.
Former Denmark midfielder Thomas Gravesen summed up this school of thought best last month.
"It is completely scandalous that he has not selected Nicolai Vallys. "When you look at the way he is playing football at the moment.
"And then they choose to take out a player who has sat on the bench at Manchester United, Christian Eriksen, just to maintain relations.
"The Christian Eriksen we all know, he is no longer there. Christian Eriksen doesn’t play football anymore.”
Cristiano Ronaldo? (Portugal)
Cristiano Ronaldo is dividing opinion ahead of Euro 2024.There are those who say that, at the age of 39 and playing in Saudi Arabia, he should not be playing for Portugal anymore.
On the other side, Ronaldo boasts experience and goals like no one else in the tournament.
He still managed 10 goals in Euro 2024 qualifying, with only Romelu Lukaku scoring more.
But his poor performance in the 2022 World Cup and in his final days at Man Utd raises doubts whether he is still at the level required for this stage.
Jack Grealish (England)
Jack Grealish has had a very disappointing 2023-24 season.
He has managed just three goals and one assist in the Premier League, and has fallen down the pecking order at Man City.
Right now he doesn’t deserve to go to Euro 2024 as Phil Foden, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Gordon all should be ahead of him when it comes to the left wing role for England.
