Eight players who could join Tottenham this summer
Tottenham have shown plenty of promise this season under Ange Postecoglou and the Australian tactician should be handed a number of his top transfer targets this summer.
Spurs are still in with a very good shout of qualifying for the Champions League and where they end up in this season’s Premier League table will have a large bearing on their finances.
That said, “Big Ange” deserves the opportunity to continue to mould the squad in his image, with Spurs light on numbers in key areas and at key times this term.

Expect the Lilywhites to move early for their preferred targets in the off-season.
Here we take a look at EIGHT star names who could be arriving at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.
Desire Doue
Tottenham could follow up the capture of teenage midfielder Archie Gray with another young star who's been making waves.
Desire Doue of Rennes has been linked to several elite sides, such as Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, and is believed to heading for the exit at his club this summer, after making his breakthrough in 2022.
The teenager has played in 57 Ligue 1 games for the club, where he netted seven times.
Signing Doue would be something of a coup for Spurs, but they managed to pip others to the race in Archie and so it can happen again.
Kyle Walker-Peters
Tottenham and Brighton have entered for Southampton full-back Kyle Walker-Peters, according to Sky Sports.
The London-born defender started his career with Spurs, playing 24 times for the club in all competitions before being sold to the Saints.
West Ham are believed to be eager to sign the 27-year-old, too, though and held talks over signing the defender in a deal that would see Flynn Downes move in the opposite direction on a permanent transfer, reports The Telegraph.
Walker-Peters led Southampton to a promotion charge in the Championship last season as the club gained reentry to the Premier League via the play-offs.
Jacob Ramsey
Spurs are linked with a move for Jacob Ramsey, according to The Standard, who say that the North Londoners will only make a move for the player if Aston Villa accept Giovani Lo Celso as a part of the deal.
Ramsey had been linked with a move away from Villa Park after it was revealed that the Midlands club had to sell players or be hit with PSR sanctions, such as a points deduction.
However, Villa recently sold Douglas Luiz to Juventus for €50.3m and so are less likely to allow their midfielder to depart this summer window.
Pedro Neto
Pedro Neto has got nine assists and two goals in only 19 matches for Wolves in the Premier League this season and the club have reportedly placed a €93 million price tag on his head.
He looks destined for the very top, but only if he sorts out his various injury issues. He’s managed just 134 matches in nearly FIVE YEARS with Wolves and won’t play again this season either.
That’s a shame as his combination of ball-carrying ability and eye for a pass mark him out as a unique talent who, on his day, could change a game for even the very best teams.
Neto has scored against Manchester United this season and added assists against Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea, demonstrating that he can do it on the biggest stage.
Eberechi Eze
FootballTransfers brought you the news that Spurs were fans of Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze earlier this year.
The midfielder does have a release clause in his deal at Selhurst Park - but reports are yet to reveal precisely what that figure is.
Reporter Alasdair Gold spoke about the situation via Football.London.
“So many people I’ve spoken to in the game over this past week have been told that Palace are making it clear that Eze is not for sale amid Olise’s impending departure, which does throw the spotlight on that release clause.
“That clause is an interesting one because nobody seems to be able to pin down exactly what it consists of, other than a general acceptance that it’s a complicated one. Some have suggested it’s more to do with money up front while not setting a valuation, while others have said that there is a price tag but it’s complicated.
Albert Gudmundsson
Iceland’s talisman was in fine form during the recent international break, netting all three goals in a European Championship qualification playoff against Israel before scoring another against Ukraine.
His Serie A form has led to attention from Inter Milan as well as Tottenham this season.
Gudmundsson has scored 11 goals across 28 league matches for Genoa in this campaign, providing another three assists.
The 26-year-old joined Genoa from AZ for a bargain €1.2m back in January 2022 and, a season later, hit 11 goals as the Rossoblu secured their place back in Serie A.
The Icelandic support striker has dealt incredibly well in stepping up to the top flight and is the latest name in the frame for Spurs.
He is a client of Italian agency GG11, who also have Spurs stars Radu Dragusin and Guglielmo Vicario on their books.
Mika Faye
Signed from Croatian third-tier side Kustosija for around €2.2 million last summer by Barcelona Atletic - the club’s B team coached by ex-defender Rafael Marquez - Faye has enjoyed a rapid rise through the ranks.
The Diambars academy graduate went on tour to the USA with Xavi’s first-team squad last summer and sat on the bench for recent LaLiga matches against Real Mallorca and Las Palmas, although he hasn’t yet seen action.
A departure for Faye, contracted until 2027, would be a welcome boost for the cash-strapped Catalans. His current deal includes a €400m buyout clause and it’s reported that Barca have not yet decided whether to include a buy-back option in any deal which takes him away from Camp Nou.
Barca are reported to have turned down a €9m fee from French side Lens in the winter window for the left-sider but interest is likely to increase ahead of the summer transfer period.
Quinten Timber
The 22-year-old is enjoying a breakout campaign with Feyenoord, stepping into the midfield breach following the departure of captain Orkun Kökçü to Benfica last summer. Timber has been a revelation, weighing in with multiple goals and assists, and even earning a first Netherlands cap in March.
He is under contract until 2026 and so the Ajax-trained midfielder wouldn’t come cheap.
Spurs are reportedly rivalled in their interest in the Dutchman by Newcastle and would benefit from having him add to their midfield options should they be able to get a deal done.
