Arsenal’s first summer sale? €50m star targeted by Champions League rivals
Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey is attracting major interest in the summer transfer market, with the Ghana international gaining covetous looks from a number of teams heading for next season’s Champions League.
FootballTransfers exclusively revealed that Arsenal have been approached by Fenerbahce over a deal for the former Atletico Madrid central midfielder.
The Gunners are likely to be reticent to reject such a deal. Mikel Arteta’s side hope to recoup around €50 million for the player yet Fener’s record transfer is only around half this figure.

While there is likely to be some room for negotiation – Arsenal are unlikely to have their demands met for a player who has missed much of the season due to injury and only has a year to run on his existing contract – it would take a sizeable swing for Fenerbahce to sign him.
Rudy Galetti confirms that the Super Lig side are still interested in the 30-year-old but other major clubs like Galatasaray and Juventus are also on the case.
Taking to X, the football transfer news specialist confirms: “Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are among the clubs that have shown an interest in Thomas Partey.
“The Ghana player, whose contract with Arsenal expires in 2025, is expected to leave this summer.
“Juventus and Saudi Pro League teams have also approached the midfielder in the past months.”

Is a deal close?
While Arsenal are liable to sell Partey, it appears that a deal for him will be rushed through particularly quickly given the Premier League side’s asking price for the player.
The Gunners’ best hope of landing a big fee for the player is if a team from the Saudi Pro League launches a massive bid early in the transfer window.
Juventus’ interest in the player may also fade depending on the success of their contract negotiations with France international star Adrien Rabiot. These are still in progress.
Partey, meanwhile, would ideally like to remain at Arsenal but it appears the club are set on upgrading.
