Mbappe loudly booed by PSG fans in sour final game as his replacement cheered
Kylian Mbappe did not get the farewell reception he was hoping for at the Parc des Princes - but the man who is set to take up his spot did.
The Paris Saint-Germain striker released a video on social media last week, confirming that he would be leaving the club at the end of the season.
In a candid goodbye, the Frenchman told the PSG supporters: "It's a lot of emotions, many years where I had the chance and the great honour to be a member of the biggest French club, one of the best in the world.

"It allowed me to arrive here, to have my first experience in a club with a lot of pressure, to grow as a player of course, by being alongside some of the best in history, some of the greatest champions.
"It's hard and I never thought it would be this difficult to announce that. But I think I needed this, a new challenge, after seven years."
But the PSG fans were feeling a lot less sentimental when Mbappe turned up for his final match at the Parc des Princes on Sunday.

A loud ripple of boos filled the stadium when the PA system revealed that the winger would be in the starting XI.
Mbappe has had a difficult relationship with the side’s ultras over the years and it’s not the first time he had been jeered.
Now that he has confirmed his departure, the PSG fans showed that they won’t be seeing him off as a hero.
One person who did get the plaudits from the home crowd was youngster Bradley Barcola. The former Lyon winger is set to replace Mbappe on the left-flank and fans were quick to cheer on the player as his name was read out.

How many goals has Kylian Mbappe scored for PSG?
Mbappe joined PSG in 2017 from Monaco on loan with a mandatory purchase option of €180 million.
He has gone on to play 305 games for the Ligue 1 champions, scoring 255 goals during that period.

But despite his output on the pitch, rumours about a departure to Real Madrid have clouded over him for the past couple of years.
He announced that he would not be signing fresh terms with PSG over and summer and now is thought to be making the move to Real Madrid at the end of the season.
Mbappe has won six Ligue 1 trophies with the Parisens but never a Champions League title.
