Chelsea receive PATHETIC Lukaku offer as Saudi make Osimhen decision

Chelsea have received their first offer for Romelu Lukaku ahead of the summer transfer window - but given the amount, it’s more than likely to be rejected by the Blues’ hierarchy.

The Premier League club still have the Belgium international on their books despite two loan spells away already, first with Inter Milan, and last season with Roma.

Lukaku enjoyed a productive season with the club in the Italian capital, scoring 21 goals in 47 appearances in all competitions, and has typically thrived in the country.

And now Napoli have made a dismal first offer for Lukaku, with Chelsea unlikely to accept such an offer.

Napoli have recently appointed Antonio Conte as their new head coach and it's thought that the side are eager to reunite the Belgian striker with his former manager from their time at Inter. According to La Repubblica, Napoli has made an offer of €15 million plus an additional €3m in bonuses.

It comes after the news that the Saudi PIF clubs have identified Lautaro Martine, Victor Osimhen, and Lukaku as the main targets. Journalist Rudy Galetti reports that all three may be hard to achieve, especially as Napoli are hoping for the entirety of Osimhen's release to be met.

Lukaku has shown interest in joining Conte's team, while AC Milan have also also expressed a desire to bring the veteran in. Furthermore, Anderlecht are believed to keen on signing the former Manchester United man in the near future - while he has indicated he is open to a move to Saudi Arabia as well.

Lukaku opens up on Saudi Arabia move

Back in January, Lukaku stated that he was close to a move to the Saudi Pro League.

He has since added fuel to rumours linking him with a move to the Middle East in an interview with the Belgian press.

“Saudi Arabia wouldn’t stop me," he said.

"The level will only increase. To a much higher level than many people think. More and more football players will tend to play there, also because of how the fans there experience football.

"The infrastructure still needs to be improved, but all major European top clubs know, ‘Saudi Arabia is coming’. You already see that in boxing, golf, Formula 1.

"Last summer was really intense at the time. For two weeks. For two days in a row I thought, ‘Yes, I’m going’, ‘No, I’m not going’ [to Al-Hilal]. Because everyone only went to Saudi Arabia after I could sign there, I was scared for a moment.”
