In this series we look at the players from each big nation who could leave their clubs this summer. Here are three stars from England who could move.
Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal)
Arsenal have put Aaron Ramsdale up for sale this summer after he lost his place in the first team this past season.
Ramsdale had performed admirably as Arsenal number one as they went close to winning the Premier League title in the 2022-23 season.
However, he lost his place in the first team in 2023-24 when Mikel Arteta decided to sign David Raya from Brentford on loan with an obligation to buy. Arteta believed that Raya would be an improvement on Ramsdale, especially in his distribution and construction from the back.
Raya is now joining Arsenal permanently, signalling the end of Ramsdale’s career at the club.
There has been interest from a number of Premier League clubs, including Chelsea and Newcastle.

Conor Gallagher (Chelsea)
There are multiple reports that Chelsea have put Conor Gallagher up for sale this summer.
There are a few reasons for this. First of all, following two years of record spending, Chelsea need to sell players this month in order to not fall foul of the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.
Secondly, Gallagher is one of the few players with heavy interest who can guarantee a big profit in this regard.
Thirdly, Gallagher’s contract at Stamford Bridge expires in 2025 and Chelsea cannot afford to lose him on a free transfer.
The Athletic report that Aston Villa are among the clubs interested in signing Gallagher this month. Tottenham have also been linked.
Ivan Toney (Brentford)
Ivan Toney’s contract expires at Brentford in the summer of 2025, and he is expected to be sold this summer
Toney was one of the hottest properties in the January transfer window, with Arsenal and Chelsea both heavily linked to him.
The 28-year-old ended up staying at Brentford, but Brentford manager Thomas Frank has since admitted that it is virtually certain that Toney will be sold in the transfer window.
FootballTransfers revealed this week that Tottenham are readying a bid for Toney.
Toney missed the first half of this past campaign due to a betting ban but returned to playing in January.
