Former Chelsea star could ruin Lukaku transfer plan
Chelsea are still hoping to sell Romelu Lukaku but their efforts could take a setback thanks to one of their former players, who is also set to be on the move this summer.
Lukaku has been out on loan in Serie A for the last two seasons and the 31-year-old has no future at Stamford Bridge, with talks ongoing for his departure.
However, despite interest from the likes of Milan and Napoli, along with teams from Saudi Arabia, no team has been willing to meet Chelsea’s asking price of €40m.

And it appears the fee could prove the be a breaking point for Milan, with speculation that the Italian giants are ready to make a move for former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham, who will be allowed to leave Roma this summer.
Abraham missed the majority of last season through injury and the England international has attracted attention, with Milan reportedly looking towards a swap or loan deal for the 26-year-old.
Should Milan end up signing Abraham, it would end their interest in Lukaku, as well as fellow Chelsea outcast Armando Broja, leaving the Blues running out of destinations for their unwanted castaways.
Chelsea need to clear striker backlog before signing Jackson alternative
Chelsea are still hoping to sign a striker this summer to compete with Nicolas Jackson up front but they may struggle to bring a forward in without first selling one of their own, with the likes of David Datro Fofana, Mason Burstow and Angelo Gabriel all still to resolve their futures.
Napoli are expected to make a move for Lukaku, with former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte having spoken fondly over the chance to bring the Belgian to his new club, but they too need to first resolve the situation surrounding Victor Osimhen.

Milan, meanwhile, are expected to sign Alvaro Morata, however they would also like to bring in another striker such as Abraham, although the priority will be pursuing a cost-effective option.
Broja was another player considered by Milan but there has not been any progress on that front, with the Albanian still out in the cold and unlikely to be part of Chelsea’s plans going forward.
