Romano gives another major update on Chelsea transfer target
Maximilian Beier still hasn’t made his move to Borussia Dortmund, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian reporter provided an update regarding the striker’s future via his Twitter account.
Beier has been linked to Chelsea before owing to his glowing record in the Bundesliga last season where he netted 16 goals for Hoffenheim.

Indeed, the Hoffenheim manis coming off a breakout season that saw him rewarded with a call-up to Julian Nagelsmann's Germany squad for Euro 2024.
The 21-year-old was linked to Chelsea previously in the window but nothing came of it. But it’s not clear whether the club are still after a No.9 to compete or deputise Nicholas Jackson.
At the time, ccording to Sky Germany, Chelsea and Aston Villa submitted 'concrete, written offers' for Beier, but nothing came of it.
Now Dortmund are reportedly in the race for the striker, but nothing will take place until Niclas Füllkrug makes a move to West Ham and gets off the books. The veteran forward is arriving in London now to deal with a move to the East London club.
Romano provided the details online. He said: “Maximilian Beier, high on Borussia Dortmund list as potential new striker.
“Talks not concrete yet but BVB called to be informed on the situation — as BILD reported.
“Nothing will advance until Füllkrug deal is signed; he’s arriving now in London to seal move to West Ham.”

How good is Beier?
highly rated since being a teenager, the 2023/24 season was Beier's first in which he is received regular Bundesliga minutes at Hoffenheim. He made his Bundesliga debut at age 17 and became his club's youngest-ever debutant in 2020.
However, the previous two campaigns were actually spent out on loan in the second division in order to get playing time under his belt. At Hannover, Beier made 68 appearances and scored 15 goals, also recording seven assists. While those numbers are not necessarily spectacular, the youngster impressed at the former Bundesliga club with his overall play and earned plenty of plaudits.
Now he is being considered by Dortmund as a replacement for Füllkrug but nothing has been agreed just yet.
