Barcelona 'prepare' bumper deal for Yamal who hopes to 'never leave'
Barcelona are preparing to offer emerging superstar Lamine Yamal a new contract - but they will have to wait until the summer.
The 17-year-old is considered to be one of the best young talents in the world right now. He sprung to worldwide attention after stealing the show in the European Championships this summer, being part of the Spain side that won the tournament.
Yamal made his Barcelona breakthrough last season. He remarkably made 50 appearances in all competitions, where he netted seven goals and provided nine assists.

He admitted recently that he hopes to stay at Barcelona forever. He said on show El Hormiguero: "I never want to leave Barca. I want to become a legend of this club."
And now Spanish outlet Marca have reported that Barca wish to give him a bumper new deal when he turns 18 in July. If signed, the new deal will see him remain at Camp Nou until 2030.
The outlet stated: "The club, and also his agent Jorge Mendes, are clear that this improvement must take place. But not only that. In these negotiations to raise his salary this season, the foundations for the extension of his contract will also begin to be laid.
"All this has already been discussed by both parties. The idea, and this is something that was already discussed in the previous renewal, is that he signs a professional contract when he turns 18 until 2030. And with economic conditions in line with the value of the footballer and the performance he is offering."
He's made an excellent start to the 2024/25 campaign, being arguably the best player in Spain this season, even scoring twice in Barca's 4-1 victory over Girona on Sunday.
PSG made Yamal offer
It comes after football agent Andy Bara has revealed that Barcelona rejected a world-record bid from Paris Saint-Germain for the attacker.
The representative stated that PSG made a world-record €250m bid for Yamal in the recent summer transfer window.

Bara told Podcast Inkubator: "One thing I know for sure is that Barcelona did reject a big offer for Lamine Yamal from PSG some months ago. The deal was worth somewhere around €250m (£211m)."
It's thought that they made the offer in their search for a replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who left the club for Real Madrid in the summer.
Barcelona's financial issues are well-documented and might have been that the Ligue 1 champions wanted to take advantage of that.
